They look good Lee...any future decal plans for the orange one?...Also I have two of the wiring clamps that you tape into the wiring harness and then they clip on to the engine compartment brace on the passenger side...small cost to you...also looked like you got there early and some one was leaning on your orange car while looking at the engine compartment...

I want to plan something different on the orange one, like a volare supercoupe stripe and the hood blacked out, and spectrium seats. I have a complete supercoupe parts car that I may scrap parts from to finish building it. I also have the front spoiler coming for it soon. I may have some of those wiring clamps in storage, I will have to look.

After this show I realize that it would be nice to have a petty blue kit car to ad to the collection. Just a thought, but my wife would kill me. I may be able to get away with trading my supercpoupe parts car for one though. there was a real rusty one up the road from me in virginia that sold not to long ago.

I will be be back in texas this week till the 18th. san antonio and maybee dallas so i may not be active on the site until I get back, have a great day, Lee

I almost forgot to mention, I got to the show about 7am to help set up, and we wrapped up the night with fireworks at about 10pm. A very long day. I have alot of sunburn to show for it. It was very fun though, and I ended up selling my hemi dodge ram at the show. Later, Lee

Lee,

What kind of gas cap is that on your RR?

Goldfinger,

That is a super coupe gas cap, rare and expensive. Someone makes a repop out of fiberglass. Looks ok from the outside but underneath you can tell it is not real. Someone at Carlisle last year had a fake one for when he was walking around the show. He would put it in place of his real one. I think he had a real one stolen from a show once.

I am going to try to make a 84 Charger one fit my car, see pic below, cheap and readily available.
I need to change the filler neck opening to a screw on type. I pulled one from a 80's Cordoba in the junk yard and I need to cut and weld it to my filler neck. Lower on the list but I have the parts to do it.

I knew there was somebody on here with the clones. Do you do the same with your real ones, take them off at the shows? I don't think I would trust people at a show like Carlisle, it is just too huge, and you could be away from your car for a long time. I wonder if the guy at Carlisle bought it from you. Couldn't tell the difference on the outside, thats for sure.

The cap on the roadrunner is a clone. I have a couple real caps, but since its not a supercoupe then it makes no difference to me as long as it looks good. The roadrunner will have alot of supercoupe parts on it when Im done. Grill, gas cap, volare supercoupe stripes since it doesnt have blue in it, blacked out roof, and the entire drive train including engine and rearend. Maybee Ill call it a super roadrunner, or super bird of something crazy. I plan on putting spectrium seats on it too. and big fat craigers on it. The engine was not original when I got it, so that free's me up to modify pretty much anything I want on it. I will keep it all f-body though. From the factory it was an original t-top roadrunner, superpack, 360, a/c car with black interior and console. The engine is a 69 340 with about 100 horses added to it. I got to run for now, God Bless, Lee
