Thanks Dizzy.i just finished the car the last week in nov and only made two easy passes.first pass was 11.80@120 and the second was 10.60@80mph. I shift at 5500 and at the end of the day i forgot the carb was only running on two barrel.Im running a w8 motor with a 727 trans and ford 9 inch rear.Tubular k-member and full chromoly cage kirkey seat 5 inch 6 pack hood scoop 3 link rear end set up.I wanted a leaf spring car now.wilwood brakes front and rear.I think after i get some full passes on it i might need to change the converter.it was a 5000 now but need at 5800.I cant wait for the new season.

Welcome, nice roadrunner you have there. 11.8 is pretty good for a first run and only on 2 barrels, but 10.6 @ only 80mph must be a typo. Looking forward to talking with you more

Ah 1/8th mile, I was thinking through the 1/4 mile. Is your k-member a home-made setup or one of those kits you can buy?

1980roadrunner,i was just thinking if my car went 10.60 in the 1/8 let do the math that means it would run 16.65 in 1/4.

I thought 1/4 first off but the 80mph didnt make sense, you must have one fast car if your letting up and still doing 10.6
Then I thought you meant 1/8 mile and I thought man thats really not that impressive then, thats slant 6 speed :icon_lol:

Dang thats fast. If you can get down into the 9's let alone 8's I think you may have the fastest Volare/Aspen around. Fastest one I've seen has been low in the low 10's.
