Thanks Dizzy.i just finished the car the last week in nov and only made two easy passes.first pass was 11.80@120 and the second was 10.60@80mph. I shift at 5500 and at the end of the day i forgot the carb was only running on two barrel.Im running a w8 motor with a 727 trans and ford 9 inch rear.Tubular k-member and full chromoly cage kirkey seat 5 inch 6 pack hood scoop 3 link rear end set up.I wanted a leaf spring car now.wilwood brakes front and rear.I think after i get some full passes on it i might need to change the converter.it was a 5000 now but need at 5800.I cant wait for the new season.

Welcome, nice roadrunner you have there. 11.8 is pretty good for a first run and only on 2 barrels, but 10.6 @ only 80mph must be a typo. Looking forward to talking with you more

Thanks. no typo I got out the gas after the 1/8 mile. looking forward to talking more also

Ah 1/8th mile, I was thinking through the 1/4 mile. Is your k-member a home-made setup or one of those kits you can buy?
01-12-2010, 11:33 AM
LMAO. No 1/8 mile that was 1/4 times.i bought this k-member when they first came out.

1980roadrunner,i was just thinking if my car went 10.60 in the 1/8 let do the math that means it would run 16.65 in 1/4.
01-13-2010, 11:21 PM
I thought 1/4 first off but the 80mph didnt make sense, you must have one fast car if your letting up and still doing 10.6
Then I thought you meant 1/8 mile and I thought man thats really not that impressive then, thats slant 6 speed :icon_lol:

yes that what it ran.im trying to grudge run this car.one guy said that car went though so easy and quiet.i hoping to get some high 8s
01-16-2010, 12:28 PM
Dang thats fast. If you can get down into the 9's let alone 8's I think you may have the fastest Volare/Aspen around. Fastest one I've seen has been low in the low 10's.
01-17-2010, 05:51 AM
Yes i agree you dont see to many fbody let alone fast ones not say 10s isnt fast.well we will see how fast it is real soon.I know what the engine builder said it should run at 3000 pounds and i lighter than that.

01-22-2010, 01:10 PM
