The one I put in was from Napa. Don't know where it came from before that. The one I took out was probably put there in Hamtramck.

Took advantage of the rare day where no chance of rain forecast, and drove the car to work. The season is getting WAY too close to the end.

Drove mine to the parts store to get 2 quarts of ATF so that next time I want to drive it I can.

I have the shift shaft seal and a new pan with all the accessories so I hope going forward I won't have to put in 2 quarts every time I want to drive it.

I spent Sunday with my son driving the Aspen through the Kettle Moraine state forest. With the manual trans it made the twists and turns real fun. Couldn't ask for better driving conditions. It was 70 and clear skies.

Started pulling apart the trans and linkages to try to stop the leaks. Planning to do this in the car.

The seal can be changed in the car. Just a little bit harder. They sell a tool to remove the seal but I have done them without it.

Spent the whole day getting the parking lock out of the steering column. That cross pin was really in there. I had to drill it out. I was going in the correct direction, but it was just in there that bad. So still not done putting in the new ignition switch.

Fiddled around with little things all day yesterday....I finished assembling the clutch linkage, installed the plastic bushings in the Z bar ,only had to re-do it 4 times because I was figuring it all out from diagrams and trial and error... had the bushings for one side but then found the other side's bushings on the top of the frame (bonus!) so didn't have to use the new ones at all (will save them for the future)....also adjusted clutch, feels awesome on the pedal now and buttoned up the shifter linkage...started to look at putting fluid in the tranny but decided it would be better to wait for an assistant...put oil filter on engine (still no oil in motor lol)... mocked up coolant expansion tank and windshield fluid reservoir...spent a long time looking through boxes for parts lol.... installed drivers side weather trim on door.....cleaned and painted rad fan and pulley black...found the 4 bolts for the fan/pulley after quite a search, cleaned them up...started cleaning up alternator and preparing it for install...found rad hoses and mocked them up on engine... little by little it goes back together...
