Mine is definitely unique. I have left it that way for a considerable time because I don't mind it. Downside is the parts stores, well and everyone I meet, knows where I live since they see it parked next to the house.

Worked on the luggage compartment carpet project a bit and made some plugs for the 3 extra holes on each door where the weather seals used to go. Since I've got the '76-'77 style seals on '79 doors, too many clip holes. Took some push cone fasteners and shaved a little off the "teeth" and trimmed the top flat on one side and they fit pretty good. Not ideal but it looks better than holes. Don't have a hundred other things to do tomorrow so, hoping to spend some real quality time with the car and get some real progress done in the trunk.

I was having a fuel issue with the Volare. Added more gas to the tank but for whatever reason it wasn't getting up to the carb. I thought the fuel pump (new) was bad. I ended up running a hose from the pump directly into a gas can. After a couple cranks it was running just fine. Then I noticed two heater hose clamps weren't tightened all the way. Pissing antifreeze until I got those secured. And one of the tires kept going flat. I took it into Tires Plus but they wouldn't work on it. It is a Sears tire from the 80s/90s. When I was underneath the car I also noticed I'll have to remove the brake cable. It seems when I installed the motor the cable went over the transmission instead of under.

Check the condition or replace the rubber fuel hoses. Todays gas make them crack quickly and not have the suction needed to get the gas to the pump. I had the same thing happen to me a few years back when at first everything looked good with no leaks, etc.

I tried to put on my three piece front spoiler and I cannot get it done without another set of hands so I have to wait for help.

If you support the center and then mount the ends then you should be able to get it yourself.

I put the three pieces together and almost got it up with the help of jack stands but the assembly twists too much and also if the side pieces rub against the fenders the fiberglass scratches the clear.

Took mine over to a friends shop to borrow welder time. Welded a new hanger for the exhaust ahead of the axle on both sides. The ones done by the exhaust shop both broke off. It still rattles because there is a loose baffle inside the driver's side muffler.
