    5 or 6 Speed Transmission

Getting my project going again; I want to put fuel injection and a 360 in my RR. With that said a 5 / 6 Speed is a must as it will be a more touring car. SO anyone have any experience on any of the 5/6 speeds out there?

I have no experience with either but I've always thought about doing a six speed behind a 360 turbo fuel ejected so I see the way you want to go would be really cool.

Jamie Passon now makes a 5 speed manual tranny base off the A833. It is suppose to be an easy install with no cutting required. I hear there is a long wait time and the price of it is starting to come down.

I put a Tremec 5spd in my 79. Will not fit unless you cut some of the floor/bracing in the tunnel. I removed all of my floor so it wasn't an issue for me.

I have a 88-92 Toyota Supra Turbo R154 5-speed in my garage. That will work with a 3.9L Dodge Dakota bellhousing and flywheel. You still have to trim the floor to get it in though.

What about swapping out a 727 or 904 for a later 4 or 5 speed automatic? Anybody do this?

We were going to do this, but it would require major surgery to the tunnel and lower firewall for clearance. I settled on a 727 with a G.V. overdrive. Even that required surgery to the tunnel.
