    New Guy

    Thanks for having me.

I have a 79 Volare that was passed down from my great grandmother. Slant Six Auto.

I'm working on making it a fun driver to take to cruises and just have fun in.

I look forward to learning from a lot of the Fbody Vets out there.

    Cheers,

Most of what ive done has been replacing fuel lines, brake lines, and basically making it safe to drive. I gave it my first run of painting as well. It sat in my great grandparents garage from 91-2014. When we started it up and drove it down their lane we had some lines leaking. I am planning a rebuild and maybe getting a 4 speed. New carb, cam, manifold, headers and exhaust.

Thanks for the welcomes. It officially has a license plate and insurance. Just waiting on an inspection and we'll have it on the road again!

Anyone have any advice on slant six aftermarket parts. looking for an intake manifold(Clifford, offenhauser, aussiespeed)

Ive heard a mix of opinions on Clifford. They have a 225 combination kit that has peaked my interest.

I don`t know anybody that has that kit. It looks pretty cool. I would imagine you would have to add a performance cam, etc to take advantage of the increase in power. I think summit has the offenhauser 4bl intake for it.

Comp cams has a 264 that I was eyeing up. Theres a couple different options 264,268, 270. Not sure which one would be best for my application. I'm always looking for built slant six's at car cruises and other festivals but they're just not easy to come by. One of the reasons I wanna give it a shot.

I like seeing clean modified sixes.

I like different. Completely stock cars are nice but I always lean towards checking out odd or different cars. You can only look at so many perfectly restored 70 Cudas before your mind wants you to look elsewhere.
