    Grille opinions wanted

I've been trying to decide if the R/T grille in my car, with the red/orange slats looks out of place or not. It's one thing that's always bugged me since the first time I bolted it on the car.

Now for the opinion part. Should I leave it as is, or paint the slats the same silver as the parking light and headlamp bezels ? They're not argent but are Eastwood Spray Gray (cast iron paint) IIRC.

Yea or nay on the red? Thanks in advance.

I would get rid of the red bars and do a little black out on top and bottom of the grille fins and match the front of the fins to the turn signal lenses.

I don't care for the red color on your beautiful Blue car. I could live with it on certain colors but on blue it just doesn't work for me. Just my $.02

I like the contrast of the red grille. Definitely different than anything else out there. Besides, you have a patriotic car there (red, white, blue). I toyed around with paint shop a little and replaced the red with silver. Kinda made it boring. Maybe if the red, not the whole grille, was blacked out it might look good.

Looks good to me. If you were to do the blackout, where would you have to stop? Window moldings next?? The spray grey looks good also. It matches all the shiney on her.

    Beautiful car!

Thanks! I was just toying around with the idea of making the red into silver but,,,,,,,,,,have decided to keep it as is.

Was that a NOS grille? Did they come from the factory red/orange like that?

Yes, it was an NOS grille I bought from Marty probably 15 years ago. It's an R/T grille and they came red/orange (not sure exactly what color you'd call it) The grille looks the same now as when it first came out of the box.
