I was at the shop earlier -- they cannot figure out why the car shut down like it did. The only thing Chuck thinks it could be is the ignition switch; so out of an abundance of caution he will install a new one.

One other thing he saw was that the fuel gauge level was jumping around, after investigating it further they saw that the float was "chattering/sticking," so that will be replace too. Should get the car back in the next day or so.

Good luck I hope everything pans out now. It has been a long road for the car and you.

This will be the first year (in many years) that I will not have a long list of "to-do" winter projects.

But I'm sure I will come up with something!!!!

Those sporadic electrical problems can be a lesson in frustration to diagnose. Run into that sort of thing at work from time to time. The biggest problem is, if you can't reproduce the symptom no matter what you do, it's all in the educated guess category. We've got one there now (a Pontiac Grand Am). Every once in a while it'll just quit and not restart. Then all of a sudden, it fires up like nothings wrong,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BEFORE the root cause has been found. Then of course, it will NOT act up again. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............................. .......

Hope they're best educated guess is the correct one!

I cannot wait for spring -- anxious to get the cars out! The Dodge has been at B3R getting some minor work taken care of, I'll swing up there later this week and post an update.

It has been difficult physically to do anything with the cars since I got sick, that is why I've hardly been around the forum. Tomorrow I'm sitting down with SS, it is hard to believe my work days are behind me; but that will give more time to mess with the cars. I wouldn't mind doing another project after I move to South Carolina, just not sure what it would be but I'm leaning towards a sand rail or dune buggy (no body only exposed rails)

On another note, I had to get a daily driver since I lost the company car and the other cars in the stable are not that practical. After a lot of looking and doing a ton of reviews I settled on an AWD Genesis sedan, so far I'm loving it. Always said I would never have another black car, but after seeing it black was a no brainier.

I hear you on can't wait for spring. The first time the cars come out,,,,,,,,,heaven. Snow, salt and 2 degrees (like right now) sucks.

It would be very nice to get the car out. I am still finishing mine but I have put an April 1st deadline on it so I hope it all goes my way.

Sorry to hear the sickness took a toll on you but I am glad you can move forward.
