Man, what a smart ass! LOL Actually I can't imagine living anywhere but where I'm at. I don't care for snow and it may seem like I complain about it a lot but tend to exaggerate my "complaining". Other than snow and cold, it's all good. No earthquakes, very rarely get severe storms or tornadoes, don't have brush fire season or hurricanes, most of the time it doesn't get unbearably hot in the summer and when it does get hot, the humidity is fairly low most times. In my mind, all those things outweigh putting up with winter. We also don't have poisonous snakes or insects around here which is an added bonus. Actually I don't think there are any snakes of any kind and really not that many insects or mosquito's (never saw a single one all summer). Oh yeah, there's also my job. Doubt I could ever find a shop and people that's anywhere near as great as the shop I'm at now and the people I work with. All good reasons to stay put, right where I am.

Way more information than you wanted

At one time I thought I wanted to move to Florida but after visiting my brother (who lived in florida) I realized how much I hate the extreme heat. Hardly anyone went out during the day. Most stayed inside in the A/C. I like the change of seasons but I am no longer fond of any snow. It is just a pain in the azz anymore. I`m here to stay now but if I was making a job change or had some other major event happen I would get out of this state.

Last time I was in Florida (Sarasota) about 20 years ago, it was late September and so hot and humid it wasn't even funny. The guy at the rental car place told me it had cooled off a lot since August. Seriously? It was worse? The brand new rental car's A/C didn't have a chance. Had it on MAX and only got slightly cooler air out the vents, with a faucet stream of water running out the condensate drain. Ended up opening the windows and sweating to death. While down there you literally couldn't be outside between 10am and 3 pm in the sun. In the shade the sweat poured off without moving a muscle. Right then I decided never again.

If it's cold, you can put more clothes on. If it's hot, there is a limit to how much you can take off...

Yeah but I'd rather be nude and sweating than have 27 layers of clothes on to where you can barely move and,,,,,,,,,,,,still be freezing. JMO.

We're supposed to have a regular heat wave today. It's actually going to get up to normal, which is 49 this time of year. That's a whole bunch better than the 30's we've been getting lately. Best part is, all that white crap that fell from the sky is gone now. Woo-hooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, it`s hard for me to function with too much clothes on. I can go inside and cool off in hot weather but when it`s too cold my hands don`t want to move well.

That's the problem I have. I've got 3 fingers and 3 toes that got frostbitten fairly bad when I was a teenager and now they can turn white and go numb when it's 60 degrees. Basically sucks and very frustrating. Still, not going to move away from where I live now.

At LEAST it was high 20's today. Friday morning (or was it Thursday?) woke up to a blistering 4 degrees AND a 10-20 mph NW wind. Just f****** lovely. I'm hoping an early start to winter will translate to an early start to spring!
