    76 aspen se project

    ok here it is . the 76 se i bought from a guy in san fran. originally thought just a noise in the rear end turned out to be a bad rear and and a trans . last week end put in another 7.25 from a fifth ave till i can get a 8.25 or 8 3/4 . just pulled the trans today . metal chunks . will be my first auto trans rebuild . any tips welcome . any way here a couple pics to satisfy the need . will post periodically pics and what im doing . im just getting her on the road before i start upgrading .

    Glad you got it and are already making progress! I guess the diff and trans problems reflect the price you got it for, but still a great find! Keep us posted for sure ,more pics the better lol

    yeah didn't pay what he was asking and didn't expect the trans issue but this what I bought the car for . totally enjoying working on it . more pics to come for sure .

    the interior is descent . about the only think ill maybe need to do is fix a couple tears in the driver seat . everything else is in old but descent condition . I like it old all original not beat up too

    If your looking for a 8 1/4 rear end for your car i have one out of a 1980 duster iam not sure what the gears are but rolling it around the garage i had no problems and no noises.If your interested just send me a pm.

    Been awhile .Thought ids give an update of what ive been doing . ive got the rear end fixed , the trans done . recently pulled the tank sender and fixed that , just need a gasket now .added a sunpro tach and air shocks. next im pulling the engine and replacing the head gaskets and all the seals . redo the heads .     We did a little work . pulled the engine to reseal it ended up getting a set of hooker headers for cheap and 4 barrel holley 600 cfm , edelbrock intake as well as a 340 grind cam. should have it back on the road next weekend
