3:55 suregrip in an 8 3/4" 489 case rear end. This has the Yukon axles and gears. It has an adjustable snubber. I have super stock rear springs and a rear sway bar from PST.
The transmission was built by Rick Alison of A&A transmissions, it has a cable shifted reverse manual valve body in it and hits really hard. The drive shaft is 4" in diameter and it has a drive shaft hoop.
The motor is probably 10.5 to 11 compression with the Edelbrock RPM heads. Comp cam roller right at 530 and 540 lift with Crancam 1.6 adjustable rockers that puts it at 583 lift. I have a seven quart Milodon sump pan with a static pick up and external oiling. The block came with the steel crank and six pack rods. I chunked the rods and went with Eagle H beam rods with Keith Black pistons. I used the steel crank and it only was turned ten on the mains and connecting rod journals. The intake is RPM performer with a Holly 750 double pumper. 440 Sources timing cover, water pump and housing come from Mancini racing. I put oil in it and spun it up to 80 psi with a drill. It has not been started yet.
I had someone make me a DC connection k-frame and have spool motor mount on it. It is bolted into the car and the engine and engine compartment are mocked up. The battery is mount in the trunk on the passengers side. There is a disconnect switch for the battery in the trunk. I ran heavy duty welding cable red and black all the way to the engine compartment. I have a electrical junction with a 100 amp fuse in the engine compartment. I have a huge BeCool radiator that stretches from frame rail to frame rail. I have a Ford Contour dual electric fan set up to run on low and then switch to high at 180 degrees. I have a new A/C compressor and hoses that runs to the dealer installed A/C system in the car.
Inside the car I have two small punctures on the driver's side of the bench seat. I have a Grant wooden steering wheel, a new upper dash pad, a lower dash pad cover, a new speedometer cover, a new A/C controls and a new glove compartment cover. New carpet and door panels. I have a fake radio in place now but I have a stock radio to put in there or a newer stereo if you want to trim the new radio cover on the dash.
I run the Schumacher Tri-Y headers with TTI 3 inch exhaust and an X pipe. The headers have been re-coated locally and look brand new. New stainless steel brake lines all the way to the back. Running Dot 5 brake fluid. And a new manual brake master cylinder going to front disk brakes and rear 11" drum brakes in the rear.
Pictures coming soon.
