This website is Dedicated the almost forgotten Mopars that are just becoming noticeable again. The price of the cars brand new were hovering around $7,000 to $8,000 in 1976-1980. The most common engines installed in these cars was the powerful leaning tower of power the mighty slant six. The smog era killed the horsepower of the 318. In 1968 a two barrel 318 cubic inch motor produced 230 hp. In 1976 this was reduced to 170-160 hp depending what smog accessories the motor came with. I you would like to learn more then join the Forum, it is free and open to everyone. In the meantime please check out some photos of the cars of this period.
