Big block in a Plymouth Volare

Rate this Entry
I bought the 1980 Plymouth Volare Roadrunner clone car from DCAspen. Super guy to deal with. The car, which was an original Slant 6 comes with no motor or transmission and a 7-1/4" rear axle.
The plan is to install a 383 B-Block with Mopar Stage IV cylinder heads which have the raised ports to use a 440 intake , 727 transmission, and an 8-3/4 rear axle.
I have the engine and cylinder heads. I know that it is a tight squeeze, but I love a challenge...

A big block fits an f-body surprisingly well, even an RB. It is tight but no cutting is needed. Always good to have another BB F-body!
