That's what I started out with - and it got old real fast.
So the next thing was the suitcase style.

I always liked that exhaust setup Rich.
Did the F-body cop cars have that same set-up?
Keep up the great work rattle trap!
Yes, I've been down that road not too long ago.
I could not run the sandblasting pot, I had to run one of these.

But I was able to get mine up like this,...
Hey Junior, it was great to see the car out at Sparta racetrack on Saturday - car still looks good!
Saw a few other F-body guys with you - you should get them onto this site.

Rich, those brake pads aren't EBC pads are they?
Have you had any experience with them?
What's your opinion of them?
In the article it says the car was originally yellow and had black spots where the body repairs were done.
The owners wife says it looked like a bruised banana......LOL
In the April edition of Mopar Muscle.

Certainly does dress up the pedals quite nicely...:headbang:
Rich, do they have a pedal dress-up kit for a 4 speed pedal setup?
Congratulations Matt!
As a former F-body owner (who still likes them) I find this site to be one of the better forums where the bickering doesn't happen.
It's good, constructive dialogue.
I also...
Hee hee, funny you should mention that.
That clock radio belongs to my wife. Her dad bough it for her when she was a teenager and that was in the mid 70's!
So I guess it was appropriate to have it...
Couple more pics.

After reading B5RR's post about the factory dealer keychain, I wondered how many of these are still kicking around.
I think they were offered by dealers......

77rr2x4's - yes, I did put some rubber between the strap and tank.
I cut it a little narrower than the width of the strap so you wouldn't see it looking at the strap from the side.
I bought 1" wide stainless flat bar and bent them up myself using the originals as templates.
Pretty easy to do.
Even with making the notched section that hooks into the support brackets....
Way back when I had my 76 I first sprayed it with Eastwood's tank tone paint.
I found it to be too thin and watery looking. So I had my neighbor shoot some car enamel and the finish was great.

Here is the one I made for the early 76 gas tanks with the hump.
I punched out the 5/16" line and bent up some 3/8" stainless line.
Mig welded on both sides for a leak free seal.
I still have it....
It's okay Rich - I forgive you.
Dylan....the biggest Congratulations from me man!!! She's finally done.
I for one am very proud of you for the work you have done to bring her back to life.
You...

Now you won.t have any extra cash to spend on your Runner.....:adoration:
Even though it is an A/C car it looked bare bones budget though.
Radio delete and no clock.
Guys, I just finished watching the house of muscle where Mike Musto is driving a 1978 Aspen Kit Car.
Cool video.
