What I did on the F today was clay bar the entire exterior. Amazing how much crap gets stuck to the paint, bumpers and glass. What seems like a clean car, isn't. At first it sounds like rubbing the car with sandpaper and then,,,,,,,,,,,,silence. Most of the junk probably is from the mill across the street from work. Also polished the window and roof rail trim, which is all bare aluminum and got the roof waxed before my arms said "enough for today".

Yep I clay bar my three cars at least three times a year. Amazing what it does to the appearance.

It's hard to describe the difference. Almost like it makes the car brighter?

I use a claying towel. I don't remember a brand but is a flat towel 8" by 8" or so bought online. They work great and you don't have any folding to do like a clay bar. I use windex as a lubricant.

I've got Griot's Garage paint cleaning clay and use their Best of Show Detailer followed by Griot's Liquid Gloss Poly Wax. Yes, I'm a Griot's Garage groupie, lol. Best products I've ever used.

Where I really notice a huge difference is the glass. Even if you clean it 20 times and it seems clean, after going over it all with the clay bar, the glass is so slick and clean that if it weren't for the reflection, it'd be like it wasn't even there.

Speaking of wax, got the rest of the F waxed today. Guess there wasn't any big rush since it'll be sitting in the garage for the next few months.

This is the one I use. Don't let any part of the claying surface touch together, it is a bitch to pull apart!
