Started on my rear main seal project. Hopefully this time I'll figure out WTF and be successful.

Need to pull the fan, shroud, crank pulley, etc to access the front 4 pan bolts and then,,,,,,,,,,off we go to the underside! Once the center link is removed and the remaining pan bolts are out, it slips out the back, JUST.

Had the shop evac the refrigerant and then I pulled the A/C stuff from the engine compartment. The hood, hinges and springs are removed. Unbolted everything on the inner fenders and firewall minus the brake booster and wiper motor. Hopefully get around to draining the radiator tonight and pull the rad and condenser.

Be careful it doesn't get out of control Ron! You know "might as well', "while I'm in there" snowball effect? Not that I've any experience with that

Oh, it will get out of control. The engine and trans will eventually get pulled. I want better access to paint the engine compartment. And while I'm at it clean and paint the engine. I did manage to get the rad, condenser and grille out last night. I want to work on it a little each night if possible so it is done by April.

Yep, there's those 4 innocent words! "While I'm at it". Could lead to dancing eventually. Say what?

April? Up here it's more like May,,,,,,,,,,,,,,or June

Around the Milwaukee area it is usually clearing up at the beginning of April. A few good showers to wash the salt off the roads and we are good to go. Realistically probably towards the end of the month.

That's always the deciding factor,,,,,,,,,,,,has it rained enough to desalt the roads so asphalt paving isn't as white as concrete and concrete paving isn't white as a sheet of paper anymore. Oh, and you don't see a white dust cloud behind trucks going down the freeway.

I have had mine at the body shop fixing some rust in one of the quarter panels and fixing some paint flaws. I get it back Friday.

Grease it up good so when you start it, it won't be dry.
