I was finally able to remove the 5thA pass side valve cover and rocker assy from the purple bath today. Got the yuck caked on the pushrods all wired off and just sat the rockers back on to torque down tomorrow. Sanded the valve cover and hit it with Rustoleum rusty metal primer then painted it. Engine should run again tomorrow. Now that the final pieces are ready the last of the reassembly can be done to drive it again.

Didn't do anything TO the F today but I did (finally) order the panel board and more carpet yardage for my never ending luggage compartment project. Ened up ordering the stuff from Automotive Interiors. Part that sucks is, shipping is more than the items being shipped by a few bucks but I'm sure it has to do with the size not weight. The panel boards are 32" X 48" and the carpet is 86" wide. I guess it is what it is.......................

Speaking of carpet, I was looking at the carpet on the sides of the center console and I think it needs replaced. It looks OK until you compare it with the much newer floor carpeting.

You can sort of see what I mean in the photo.

The panel board and carpeting showed up yesterday for the trunk so, guess I don't have any excuse to put it off anymore except,,,,,,,,,,,I caught cold and feel like crap today. Maybe tomorrow I'll get something done on the "F Today"

In a few days, I'll also have a correct brake pedal bezel in hand so that'll for sure be done on the F.

I finally started putting together my new slant six crate engine to finally get installed in my volare! Ordered a bunch of little bits and pieces needed to finish the install, like a new water pump, thermostat and housing, new radiator hoses, new guts for my distributor, plugs, wires, valve cover vent, new oil cap, new clutch for my A-833 transmission, and a new ignition coil! I'm super pumped to get her running again its been sitting dormant in the shop for like 7 years now I think.

Been offline for awhile but I worked on measuring out the holes for the rear spoiler/flair kit for the new rust free 80 Aspen and figuring out the shoemaker V8 mounts

Added the wheelwell trim, and trim around front and back glass.
Only have wiper arms and the seats to finish and I'm sure plenty of small items.Click image for larger version.

When the trim goes on, you know your getting nearer to the end of the project.

BTW, green grass, leaves on the trees, above 5 degrees,,,,,,,,,,,you suck!

That's funny and I do feel your pain, I used to travel for work northeast midwest and Canada.

I'm not really complaining, can't imagine living anywhere else but,,,,,,,,,bare trees and brown grass (we've got no snow, and I'm fine with that!) wears on you after awhile. Downside is, can't drive the Aspen 6 months of the year, not because it's cold, it's the SALT. Even though the roads are dry, the salt is thick. Put it this way, the asphalt roads look the same as concrete ones............

Noticed your side markers. What did they come from? They look like the car was born with them. Like the tucked bumpers too.
