    Junior79's drag car

Hi all I have owned my volare for 5 years now it has come a long way from when I got it. I have physically rebuild the whole car. It has gone a best of 11.55 @116 to date. I got it with the ideal of a street strip car and that what it has Been for the last 5 years. I just put a roll cage in this year which was my first one I have done on my own. I have done all the work my self but my dad has helped me with the body work. It has a 408 stroker 727 Trans and super stock Leaf springs 90/10 Front shocks weld racing rims. This year is been slow for me only got the car out ones this year but we are going to a local event this weekend so hopefully with the cooler weather we can pick up a little I'm hoping to maybe run in the 11.40's. well the a run down on my hot rod I'll post up how we did this coming weekend. Here is some pictures of the car. The one with the silver cars is what the car used to look like before I redid it

Well the weekend was a success car ran some of its best times only got to go for rounds on Saturday and Sunday but the car ran great it was all on me Saturday I got knocked out forgot to put the spark plug wire Back on the plug lol. Sunday I had to cut a good light and I ended up red light car ran rate on it's dial-in time. Ended up with my best 60 foot time of 1.53 and my best 8th mile being 7.27 at 94.55 mph. The track was only running 1/8 mile on the weekend not quarter-mile so I plan on going back try to get my quarter-mile time it should be in the 1130s
