I like your hood rigging. That can be such a headache job even with two people and fresh paint. There should be delrin sockets or something for running those painted bolts in. Am I the only one to think the hood bracing was designed to stick injector stacks thru the hood?

I actually have a set of sockets with nylon (or some such thing) liners that work good for low torque fasteners. No idea where I got them, it was a long time ago. Not sure if they even make them anymore.

Yeah, the opening in the center of the hood bracing would be perfect for some Hillborn stacks! I didn't want to cut the bracing so that's what I used for the scoop opening.

    77. if the paint on the cap is intact and in good condition, it really only needs scuffed provided it isn't chipped or scratched. Then of course, you'd have to sand farther to get rid of the flaws. If it's the factory applied finish, you can't get a better bond of paint to metal.

The plan is to do everything in my power to get that darn gas cap painted at long last. It doesn't do me any good sitting on the bench in primer, does it?
