I was getting about 10 mpg on my 77 360 with tunnel ram. Of course a 4.56 rear didn`t help either. I had removed my chokes on my carbs. It would start great with a pump or two when cold. .

Carb is on it's way. Should be waiting by the door when I get home from work Thursday. The weather forecast this weekend is sketchy at this point (i.e. rain), so a road test might not be able to happen.

April showers are better than the usual April snow we get around here!

Many of our Springs in the last 10-12 years have been super wet. There has been a few April's decades ago where we got hit with 15-18 inches of snow from one storm but that hasn't happened since '82 that I remember.

Oh man, 05-08 we had the wettest springtimes here. We would get 4" one day, 6 the next, and then maybe another 2, and back to 4. And it would be all week, take a little break for a few days and go right back at it again. The county came and installed a catch basin for me in 07 and I ran a 6" trunk line to multiple 4" feeders so I could quit living inside a moat that was intended to be a yard. The final year of the heavy rains went without incident finally.

In 2011 the Spring was super wet. I don't remember inches but it was way over normal. The Spring of 2012 was just as bad. My house was built in 1900 and had a brick foundation and floor. The basement was kinda porous and the more rain we got the wetter the basement. I couldn't keep much of anything worth anything downstairs because of the humidity. The washer and dryer were located downstairs but not much else. There was a sump pump located down there that helped out a lot. I went downstairs one day that Spring to try and find something I had there and I happened to notice a foundation wall on the South side looked funny. Upon a closer look I found that the wall had moved in at the top by 8 inches. Long story shortened in the next two summers I replaced the complete foundation under my house one wall at a time while living in the house. I hate wet Springs!!!!

The new carb came today. Dummy me not thinking that a double pumper 4150 has the fuel inlets 1" farther apart than a 4160 style carb so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,correct fuel line is coming from Summit. I'll also need to modify my throttle/kick down cable bracket to fit. It's close but since it isn't a grenade or horseshoe, a little cutting and fitting will be necessary. As with a lot of things, change one piece, also change another, which requires changing another and so on, lol.
