there is major changes for my R/T in 2016. I decided to retire my R/T from drag racing. it will be put back on street. I have owned this car since 2006 and I have put on only 2000 km's. this way I can enjoy cruising with my family.

the big stroker motor is out. in it's place is a mild 340''. 562 solid lifter cam, 11.1 comp, ported J heads...

next month i'm switching gears from 4.30 to 3.73. after that i'm building a 3'' exhaust system with dynomax ultra flows. should sound nasty.

this has been a very hard decision for me but I think it's the right one for me and my family. my oldest daughter (13), told me this the other day, ''Dad, now I have a grad car and wedding car''!!

Still might be a little nasty for the street with the compression and solid roller. If you could roll it back to some aluminum heads and hydraulic roller. JM2C

solid lift (flat tappet) not solid roller. I've never run a hyd cam and don't see one in the future. solid cams work very good on the street. 11.1 is on the edge of street comp but I've run that high before and it was fine.

years back I had a 410'' stroker with Edelbrock cnc heads. 626'' solid lift cam. it was a blast on the street.

I do have a set of ported W2's that I might switch to. they will drop comp down to 10.1.

roll bar should be out this week. interior has to come out to cut out bar. this is going to be the hardest part for me. no going back after this is done. I have put a lot of money and time into having a 3800lbs 10 second small block car. I wanted to hit 10's and I did, so now it's time to move on.....I guess.

I kept everything I took out, shifter, seat belts, and wipers (wiper motor)..... the only thing I didn't keep was the heater core (can't drive up here in winter anyway).

this week I got a few days off from work so I plan on getting this done.

Cool deal Joe, not very often do you hear a story of going from race car to street car. There are other cars or trucks out there for the next racer!

thanks, most times it's a street car turned into race car. I took my car as far as I wanted to go. I still had full interior, all steel, no gutting of anything. I couldn't bring my self to cut it up.

now I can to enjoy it with my wife and daughters.
