I havent updated this thread in a bit either. Ms. Penny has seen quite the turn around. We started out by driving 16 hours for a new grille, part of that threw Chicago rush hour with a pregnant Girlfreind in a 30 year old bumpy Dually pickup. Next I went threw and replaced all the sunbaked interior plastics including the Dash pad and the severly cracked steering wheel. I did end up sourcing all the missing woodgrain surround trim from a fellow in Canada. We then decided to go over the entire car mechanically last year as the car turned 40 years old and still had most of the original parts. We ended up doing the cooling system, charging system, all brakes, A/C delete, whole top end, full 2.5" exhaust, and dissecting the wiring harness and cleaning connections. So far this year we have purchased new bumpers, bumper fillers, roof luggage rack and a beautiful GW code Highland interior to install before show season. The Lady wants to install her new Cragar S/S wheels too

You drove through Chicago during rush hour (which seems to be 23 hours a day)? You must have REALLY wanted that grille! lol

What is the GW code Highland interior, out of curiosity?

GW code Wagon interior is the Higher optioned Plaid interior for Premier optioned cars. Interesting fact is they never offered them in Blue like the plaid M5 interiors they offered in the Coupes!

Ah, like the last photo in your post. My car had red plaid on the seat inserts originally (Sunrise Coupe) but personally (and don't take this the wrong way) I hate plaid so it's long gone 30 years ago already but, that's just me.
