Ugh... our rains earlier last week cleared that for us. But sure glad we had a good weekend. Sunday was the warmer day and it got warmer still yesterday as the rain came back. Continuing trend thru this afternoon when it's supposed to clear and plummet back to freezing. Yay for Spring weather...

I cannot wait for the day when I can come on here and say I whipped it out! Antsy is an understatement.

They haven't run the street sweepers on the side streets yet but,,,,,,,,,,,they did some of the main roads(!) Lilac Ave, which I guess you'd call a frontage road along the freeway, at the end of my street was clean. Whipped it out and took a couple "laps" to a park about a mile south and back. I'd have kept going except it was obvious the sweeper hadn't gone any farther than the park yet. Talk about a major mood enhancer, lol.

Even more mood enhancing, the brakes stop perfectly straight with no pulling and the steering wheel is dead nuts level, along with it handling better than it has in a LONG time. It's about a 1/4 mile of perfectly straight and level road to the Rib Mt. water dept from my house and I didn't have to touch the wheel once. It'd probably have gone farther except the road curves. That's before doing an alignment even! It must be pretty darn close.

Upper control arm shims fixed the handling, and the calipers fixed the brakes. I'm a happy camper now, even though I absolutely hate camping,

Since the street sweepers have all the roads done and 95% of the salt is washed away, whipped the car out this morning to go fill it up with gas. Went to a station a couple miles away and made a "lap" from home to there and back on the other side of the freeway, about 5 or 6 miles total. Don't want to go TOO far until I do the front end alignment, although it drives perfectly straight and handles good as it is now. After a few more stops and the pads have seated better, I give the brakes a big thumbs up!

Social Distancing Cruise to Ohio Veterans Home yesterday.
Half hour in the staging area then the local PD and Sheriff Dept paraded us down to circle the grounds.
No idea how many attended but it was Huge! Classics Muscle Lowriders Tuners Offroaders and at Least twice as many bikers.

After idling around for an hour the car later developed a sporadic idle miss and doesn't seem to be fully firing under light throttle. Not sure if we boiled the coil or an ICM. No goo on the fenderwell. But I suppose I'll just replace both to be safe.

    Yeah, social distance this! LOL

The Aspen got whipped out Saturday morning to go down to work and do an alignment. It's only been out 3 times so far this year but already racked up 40 miles. That's 40 more than last year at this time!

Yeah, there were easily 1,500 vehicles including the bikes and I saw maybe 30-40 people in masks. We've racked up 50 miles now. But Mama's car only registers about 3 out 4. Depending on speed with the wrong trans gear.

You guys getting some Cruise time in? Wife and I took a drive up the coast yesterday. Rolled over 63K just before pulling back into the driveway.

    I miss the big lakes.

There is a "lake" in town with a boat launch because it is such a serious lake for this area. I'm sure that when I was younger I could have thrown a baseball to the opposite shore.
