All mama could see of that Redline was a car payment. I've been spending the mad money on F-bodies anyhow, and Bruce sent pix of the right car at the right time...

Not sure if this one will go to Carlisle next year or not. I really want to take a Super Coupe prepped to chase another friend around the Hotchkiss track! I'm also hoping to show off the completed total rebuild of the loaded 77 R/T. So everything is still in the air for what we show up in, and possibly also drag behind it @ Carlisle '16.

I'm glad to have helped! Luckily for Rattle Trap I'm a lover of only the 76 and 77 Aspen's. Otherwise I would have been "hey, look at my new car lol". The many times I made the trek over to take pictures of it, it was winter time and so cold my phone wouldn't take pictures because my finger was too cold to make it work.
I wanted to fully document all of the body work that it needed. I didn't want him to come it get it and be disappointed with the amount of work it needed.
He has taken this car from two steps away from the crusher to sweet cruiser in a very short time.

It's kinda strange how I've viewed some cars, restorable cars, as just parts or whatever. But never considered CC anywhere near a crusher, no matter how many new pix Bruce sent. I was kinda shocked to read that. So, reflecting, I guess there has been a lot of work done. I guess I don't really add it all up when it's a labor of love. Until somebody finally points out what is likely obvious to all others. There's been weekends with the dash apart doing speedo drive, bulbs, and a gauge. Sitting there polishing the cluster lense. The bezel from Kevin in CT., and the other from Kevin in WI. Everything to do with the AM/FM 8-track. Master cylinder, front lines, hoses, calipers... just a bunch of little things here and there to make her nicer and never let mama down. So many that I don't recall them all in one sitting. So much more yet to do. But this ole car doesn't fight me anymore. So that's a good thing. It started out hard. Like she didn't want to be touched. Just be left to rot. Now, every new project is easy. Like the car is happy getting new jewelry. Strange. I've seen it with some of the others too. Almost like these old girls do have feelings.
