    Mystery part

I took pictures when I removed the engine. Now I can't figure where this goes. I came from a 79 slant six with auto transmission. There is a F stamped near one of the holes. I figure this means to face the front of the engine. I can't seem to line up any two holes.

Think I found it in the parts manual. It goes on the back of the A/C compressor down to a mounting bracket of some sort. #3 in the illustration.

I figured it out! The fuel filter was obstructing the view in one of the photos. I began looking around the starter but nothing was lining up. Then I noticed a hole in the drivers side motor mount. The end with the single hole connects there. The two holes at the other end go between the rear a/c bracket and return spring bracket.
