What do you mean? Paint is cheap. Oh wait,,,,,,,,,,,no it's not

When I bought all the paint for my car, when I saw the price it was like "holy ----", and this was 15 years ago. I'm sure the price hasn't gone down since then.

Paint isn't that much less here, depending of course on what type and quality of paint you buy. There's some that is lower priced but doesn't hold up well. A lot of people here take home $500-$800 a week (after taxes, taxes, taxes and more taxes along with other deductions)or more so I guess expensive is a subjective thing.

Back 15 years ago, if I add up the cost of all the paint for my car including primers, sealers, base and clear coats, along with all the reducers and activators that go along with them, it'd be close to $2,000. Because of more EPA crap since then, I imagine you'd have to add another $1,000 to the total today, but don't hold me to that.

All depends on what part of the country you live in. Some are higher but the cost of living is higher there also. In this area what I said is about average, according to the county stats. Example, out in California a house may be $1.2 million and here the exact same house would be maybe $200,000 (and have a larger lot) and in a small Mississippi town it might be $100,000 or less. This is a big country so there's a huge difference in different parts of it.

Sure, you pick the most expensive color, red You probably want a Mopar color but my 2008 Mustang (yeah I know, Mopar guy with a Ford......) is a nice darker red metallic. It's nothing special in the shade but when the sun hits it, it lights up big time. It's called Sangria Red-Effect. Just tossing ideas out is all.
