    Headliner Interchange?

Are two-door headliners interchangeable among all years of F-Bodies?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes they are,There is a small difference where the hole is for upper seat belts ,76-77 retractor belts are different than 78-80

Thanks DCAspen Much appreciated. How small of a diff would you say? Looking to put a 77 liner in my 79. Would the plastic covers hide the difference?

Yes they will,When i fixed mine I used the pieces around the seat belts out of a 1980 for my 77.Thats how I found out there was a difference.

On the headliner topic, is it possible to remove the rigid backer from a 4 door without removing the front or rear glass? It seems like it can't be made to go out through a door even with the seats, steering wheel, and door removed.

I think you're stuck taking an end glass out.

If you do have to take one out, make it the rear glass. Tempered glass is MUCH easier to remove without damage than laminated windshield glass.

I don't want to take it out, but if my recontour works I kinda want to fiberglass the top so it will stay in shape. I suppose I could just lower it to the headrests and do the work in place if I'm careful.

Disappointed to find that the dash, seats, shoulder belts all need to come out in order to remove enough trim just to lower the headliner.
