That'd be awesome if it happens! Gotta love being energy independent.

Hope it stays lower when summer rolls around and I'm filling the Aspen with premium. IIRC, when I filled it last in September (or was it October?), premium was $3.39/gal yet. Right now it's $2.94 here in the Rib Mt area for non-ethanol 91 octane. At an avg of 10 mpg, it gets kind of wallet draining after a while.

Too much good going on for them to make excuses it seems. Oh the winter blend is more expensive, oh the summer consumption, oh this oh that. Well take That! And I'll be able to put money into other things than my gas tank. Of course I also read a while back where some new international tax on shipping fuel is going to effect diesel prices. That could be all the excuse they need to piggyback gasoline price along for the ride. But even if not I suppose what we save on personal use will go into the cost of goods coming from afar. There's always a trade off somewhere.

When I filled the Dakota up this morning, noticed the price had gone up at some point to $2.39/gal. When I filled up last, a couple weekends ago, it was $2.24/gal. Grrrrrrr.

$1.85 where I buy gas. But go figure, half an hour west along the same coast it becomes the FUN COAST as I've mentioned before, and is still $1.94 to $1.97

Man, you guys get rooked "up north". That's like what, $4.50/gal roughly, depending on the exchange rate, Canadian to U.S. dollar. Dang.

Just about everywhere in the world pays more for gas, as I hear it. I don't know what it is here, been at least a week since I got any.
