What makes no sense to me is, the USA is producing enough oil that we don't need a drop foreign oil, so what OPEC does should have no effect.

You are correct but the oil companies are selling our oil to China so we have to rely on OPEC for oil.

Your right. That was why they wanted the pipe line running so bad. That oil is exported. Crazy huh. It`s all about the money.

Unfortunately, that is who the US borrows its money from.

.............and it's back down to where it was on Tuesday, $2.69/gal. Up down, up down. Pick a price and go with it already.

Honestly I don`t really look at the price on gas very often. I tend to go to the same stations which are generally the cheapest around my area. I know when my gauge goes low its time to filler up. Other then that I don`t concern myself to much with stuff I can`t really do anything about. Of course I do like when the price drops quite a bit but it seems to fluctuate between 2 and 3 dollars anymore.

I don't actually go LOOK for the price, just happen to see it on the signs as I drive by. In reality, I used to buy 95% of my gas from The Rib Mt. Petro MArt and the other 5% on the only station I pass by on the way to work. However, now that the Petro Mart is for sale, and hasn't had any gas for a month now (only the store is open), now I just stop at the one on the way to work. Doesn't matter which one of the 100+ stations in the area you go to, the price is always the same at all of them, except way up on the far north side (where I rarely have a reason to go) is always 5-10 cents/gal less for reasons unknown to anyone. Regardless of price, you still need what you need.

Haven't found a place for race fuel yet that isn't 30 miles away. One reason of many I miss the Petro Mart already. It's the kind of place where they know you, kind of like "Cheers", and have 6 pumps, as opposed to the gigantic stations (like Kwik Trip a block away from Petro Mart with 24 pumps) where it's so impersonal, if you know what I mean.

What sucks for me is finding gas without ethanol or finding race gas is almost impossible around here. If you do find race gas the price is crazy.
