I am also John. It will be a while but I definitely will give feedback because the rebuit one I have in there now is a piece of junk. Loose steering and the sector shaft adjustment is all the way tight. That is not the way it should be.

How much are they asking for a Stage 3? I think I paid around 300-400 many years ago.

I can't remember exactly what I paid for my Stage 2 unit 5 years or so ago. Seems like it was $525 with the core charge and shipping and after the core was sent back, it came to about $400(?). It was something around that much. No regrets for the expense.

We all need to keep in mind, our cars will never drive as good as a modern car with rack and pinion steering with or without variable assist.
Side note: I'm sort of amazed how good the electric p.s. feels in newer cars and trucks. The early versions were kind of sketchy but they've got them dialed in good in the past few years. Plus with electric, it's very easy to change the assist level to match conditions, but I digress.

Firm Feel stage 1 is $359. Stage 2 is $379. Stage 3 is $399. The core is $250. I do not know what the shipping is but I am definitely sending the core back.

I have a couple of cars with electric steering and I think they steer fantastic.

I put the stage three on and it feels good. The steering is fine it just doesn't have a over abundance of steering effort which is normal. The way it was explained to me the gears are supposed to have more driver input which is fine with me.
