What I always go back to is, watch "Demolition Man". That's where it seems things are going these days, especially with the socialists running things out east right now. To be honest, I'd rather be dead than live that way. "Mellow greetings Lanina Huxley, be well" (puke). What next, check points where they ask in a Nazi German accent "Let me see your papers"? Oooh, I better quit there before I go off the deep end, lol. I guess one word in this thread is RANT though.

Going back to when I worked at the Audi dealer (5 years of my life I've tried to block out all memory of), there were so many do-dad's that not a single owner ever used, or knew existed. If they did know it existed, they had no idea how to use the do-dad. They paid thousands of dollars for things they didn't need or ever use. Kind of silly if you ask me. You almost needed a degree from MIT to pair a phone to the blue tooth, or change a suspension setting. From the main menu, select the correct sub-menu, from that sub-menu, find the sub-sub-menu, scroll down and try to find the function you want to change, select that and then yet another sub-menu comes up...................In other words, everything stayed the way it was when they picked the car up from the dealership because it was so ******** complicated to make it any other way. In my opinion, the manufactures should spend less time and money on "technology" and concentrate on things like drivetrain or suspension, etc. It's obvious things like that are being bean counted to the point they aren't reliable and just plain don't last. It's good for people like me that earn our living by repairing cars and trucks but bad for those who pay the ridiculous prices of the new vehicles. End of rant,,,,,,,,,,for now

P.S. I avoid Walmart like the plague. That place seems to attract every rude, unmannered, inconsiderate, unbathed red neck weirdo freak in a 50 mile radius. It's like a low life magnet or something. It's only Walmart. Go to any other store in the entire metro area and people are normal and actually do have some manners. And the clothes you see some wearing at Walmart, seriously? You went out in public dressed like that? Anyways,,,,,,,,,,,no thank you.

How about lighten the mood with a rave for once?
I just realized, haven't seen one single mosquito this year, not a one. There normally isn't a whole lot of them anyways (at least in the area my house is in) but this year, zero. Actually there doesn't seem to be all that many bugs period. I wonder if it's from it getting warm this spring for a while with highs in the 60's or 70's and then going back to 20's and 30's for highs and close to zero (or below) at night for a couple weeks? They hatched and then froze? Whatever the reason, it works for me!

    JINX!

I realized also that the yearly baby frog invasion didn't happen this spring either. Every spring since they put the sediment ponds in behind my yard about 16 years ago, for about 2 weeks there would be millions (not really exaggerating much) of tiny frogs about 1/2-3/4" long EVERYWHERE. It really was like an invasion. You had to sweep them away from the back door before opening it or they'd get in the house. It was ridiculous. You really didn't want to go out the back door barefoot! This year zip, and that's a good thing.

Well, no mosquitos or frogs but, this morning I went to turn the outdoor tap on and looked up to see a giant wasp nest hanging under my balcony type thing out back. Son of a.............I swear it wasn't there yesterday. Didn't have any bee killer on hand so I shot it with brake cleaner. May have killed a few but really it just made them mad. Wasn't a good idea and I gave them some distance real quick, lol. So, zip out to Menard's for a couple cans of wasp killer. Of course, any trip to Menard's for one thing ends up being $100 at least. Anyways, this evening I emptied 2 full cans into the nest entrance and also for good measure, drenched the entire outside of it. So far, so good. While I was watching, every so often I saw a couple wasps come back from the field, fly around a bit and then leave. Thinking I should have waited another hour or so until all of them were back in the nest for the night. Hopefully, it all worked. I'll know tomorrow for sure. Darn nest is about 1/2 the size of a basketball. I hate bees, especially wasps and hornets. They are ill tempered little you know what's. I'm not really allergic to bee stings except that every time I've been stung in the past, it puts me down for half a day.
