Sad to hear that the eventualities of living are visiting your recognition more often. It tends to happen as we grow older. When I lived at the orchard, my grandparents used to stop by to see me and pick fresh fruits to take to their friends at wakes regularly. It seemed they spent most of their time gathering with others in their loss of loved ones in the later years.

Our area is chock full of retirees, and it's really crazy to see just how much real estate is being turned into medical centers. Whole areas of former retail outlets are being raised or converted into these ridiculously huge medical campuses. Even old Police Stations, a Motel and it's adjoining properties? Everything is all about this growing medical complex being located everywhere you can turn your gaze.

Let me just tell you that despite traffic circles coming into our area over the past many years, these old farts (I hope I can still call Them that instead of myself for a bit longer) they've got no freakin idea what to do still. They slow to a crawl or stop and wait for everything to clear like timid little animals and it just backs up worse than if there were a stop sign or traffic signal to tell them it's OK. In my particular area these things are a giant nuisance due to the people attempting to navigate them.

And we have navigated another round of the whole Covid nonsense with the schools too. Seems we have a bit of good news from the neighboring town about recognition of natural immunity from previous infection. We'll have to see how this goes into the future. But my boy got to play several minutes of the final quarter last night in the Varsity football game where we blasted another team 48-13. They didn't even score until after half time when we had nearly our complete JV team in against them. One of our players had over 100 yards rushing just in the first quarter. LOL!

All of us that have lost parents recently are about the same age (55-60) so I guess it's something you would sort of expect. Just odd it was in such a short period of time. The guy's brother who got killed in the crash was only 36 though.

Who's stupid idea was it to domesticate grasses? We spend so much time, our energy, gasoline energy etc... We buy edges and whackers on top of our cutting equipment so we have these useless spaces that look like palacial or museum landscapes all for no good reason at all. I'm blaming those silly people who throw or hit little balls around on grass for the popular idea that we all need to have similar ridiculous spaces. Serves no purpose but to waste my time and money. It doesn't provide a crop to me. It doesn't provide any extra pride in what I've done or accumulated over a lifetime. I think the standard should be 3 feet, and cut 3X annually.

I've always thought lawns were a dumb idea. All that two-cycle pollution for nothing.

I went ahead and spent on a Troy Built 4 cycle whacker, and bought a few attachments for it. That was 15 years ago and I've only ever had to replace the primer bulb once. I just had a feeling that was a good investment, and it has been. Still have zero appreciation for all the wasted time walking around trimming stuff tho. Lol!

Heard this one yet? The Socialist Republik of Kalifornia is going to ban all gas (and diesel) powered small engines in power equipment. They will have to be battery powered or plug in. Items included: Lawn mowers, lawn tractors, chain saws, weed whackers. GENERATORS, rototillers, on and on.

I'd like to see how a battery powered or plug in generator is going to work. You just can't fix stupid, or lack of any common sense.

    Oh yeah, Let's Go Brandon!

That generator ban will work well with their grid that is forced to shut down every time the wind blows.

I've never heard one peep about where all this electricity is going to come from. They can't keep up with current (no pun intended) demand, much less doubling it with electric everything. Solar and wind power are not going to do it either.

Don't even get me started. I probably won't stop where I should. Just about had enough of these radicals that act without sense, claiming anything they do is great because all humanity should suffer their delusions and self loathing.

But "Brandon" is now going worldwide, showing there are many around the world who are awake and just as fed up.

Yep, "Let's Go Brandon" is code for you know what, and the person it's directed at hasn't got a clue what it means (he doesn't have a clue about ANYTHING period). I love when they preach "we have to get rid of oil and coal". OK, that means anything made of plastic or containing plastic will have to go, all roads will have to be concrete (no more asphalt), and any of the million other things that use petroleum products in their manufacture will have to go also. The most economical fuel to use in power plants is coal. What comes out the stack is no more than steam and air with all the treatment, scrubbers, etc. Can't forget other things that without coal, wouldn't be possible. If they would take 5 minutes and look up all the things oil and coal are used for, maybe they'd get a clue, but I doubt it. It's just stupid. "But oil isn't sustainable" (and I can't stand hearing the term "sustainable" anymore). For some reason, they think the process that created the oil and coal we use somehow stopped. Oil is being made deep underground just like it has been for millions of years, coal too. Those people have no common sense, no logic, never bother to get all the facts first but then again, they can't be bothered with the facts because it doesn't further their agenda. They're agenda seems to be hell bent on destroying our country and nothing else. Bunch of socialist mother f,,,,,,,,,,,I mean freaks. Yeah, you're tight, don't even get me started. I want to say some more things but am trying to stay non-political here so, I'll shut up now.
