We wouldn't be able to make the roads from cement as it takes a huge amount of energy to cook the carbonate when making it. We can just have dirt roads and power all the iphones with unicorn farts. Makes sense.

Who could have possibly imagined I'd be the one over here calmly keeping my peace...

Excuse me, I meant to say "climate CHANGE".

I was thinking the same thing doublechaz! But do not lose sight that it will take a lot of AA batteries to power the electric construction equipment.

Unicorn farts and $8T are the building blocks for the infrastructure plan.

Just wait until the so-called environmentalists realize the devastation from strip mining all the metals needed for all these batteries. That's not "sustainable" either.

I understand the move to electric vehicles, and for some applications and markets it will be great. But there's no way in hell that the entire global market for automobiles is going to switch completely over to BEVs in our lifetimes, and the automakers like GM who SAY they're going all-electric are either stupid or lying just because it's the PC thing to say these days.

    I agree 110%

Just wait until the current EV reach their usable lifespan!

Pretty sure you can't make an imaginary problem go worse with an imaginary power source.

Same to the rest of you guys. It's all imaginary to this point. Idiots think they can legislate technology into existence and Industry has already shown their willingness to attempt bending over backwards for it to remain in the control paradigm of partnership. In case you weren't aware of what the joining of Government and Corporate Interests is called, it's FASCISM. Not even going to go on the rant about this fake socialism just being Communism for Dummies or any of the rest of that, thereby breaking the rules of this site. Just saying one little thing out loud and leaving it here like whatever. I'm done arguing and I'm no longer angry. I'm just sitting here watching it unfold.

One thing that gets in their way, and I'm sure it really irritates them, is the Constitution. Fortunately, it is VERY hard to change the Constitution. They try to go go against it but, they almost always get called on it and they get over ruled.

A different rant now. Tuesday and Wednesday were dark ,overcast and rainy. That's not the rant. The rant is all the stupid, clueless drivers who are too dumb to turn their lights on. If they only knew how moronic that makes them look. Nothing like an overcast day with drizzle, and a gray car with no lights. It's almost invisible. You just can't fix stupid. Even worse is the dumb f**** driving in the fog with no lights. What is wrong with these people? Of course, then there are those driving before sunrise (which is after 7am now) or after sunset (which is just after 6pm) and,,,,,,,,,,,not a light to be seen. In fact, they're almost not to be seen until they're like RIGHT THERE. Stupid people everywhere and it seems to be getting worse every year. Soon we'll have the dumb asses who think they can drive on the snow and ice like it's a bright sunny summer day. "But I have all wheel drive". Always funny when the vast majority of vehicles you see in the ditch are either 4x4 or AWD, as I drive by in my 2wd truck with winter tires, at a speed proper for the road conditions. A little laugh and wave, and on my way, LOL.

Agree. And what about all the people that drive AT NIGHT with just their DRLs on? No taillights, just some dim forward lights. I see it all the time. You try to signal these idiots and they just ignore you.

With all the safety requirements on a vehicle these days, and LED lights that rarely go bad, you'd think they'd just require headlights and taillights on whenever the car is out of park.

I have a different rant - going crazy trying to figure the best plug for the Vette. I bought the NGK V-Power FR4 plug, but now I'm considering the premium jump since I have everything torn apart already. The rant is cutting through the marketing muck on e3 vs. NGK Iridium IX vs. NGK Ruthinum HX

I'm leaning towards the Iridium IX, but was wondering about the Ruthinum plug? In my mind I kind of ruled out the e3 plug. Remember when the split plug came out that was going to change the world and end hunger - that plug has disappeared; I forget the name... Splitfire? I wonder if the e3 cage plug will be the same....

Anyone have experience with the Ruthinium plug?
