RAVE! I met with the insurance adjuster, RestoreU and SERV PRO at the house this morning to go over everything and how it's all going to proceed, sign about a million forms, etc. Every one of them are great! Serv Pro does the clean out, tear out, mold abatement, and drying. RetsoreU does the reconstruction. SERV PRO just started this morning and dang, they don't mess around! A bunch of the basement is cleared out (with a million things left to go), some of the furniture is in the storage container (It's darn near as big as a shipping container), carpet is removed from the living room, on and on. They have about 10 guys working and the couple hours I was there, they never slowed down. Tomorrow I go back to meet with a company that takes care of electronic. They check them, dry if needed, make sure they're good and safe to use, etc., and of course, sign their forms. Also at the same time, I need to sign a form authorizing the asbestos abatement company to do work in the house, if needed. The kitchen and under the carpet in the TV room are linoleum tiles and going by the age of the home (1965), good chance they contain asbestos. He'll take a sample and test it to see for sure but sounds like there's a 90% chance the test will be positive. The adjuster was there the whole time and assured me no matter what needs to be done, it's all covered, with the exception of the asbestos company but that should only be around $1,000 so, not bad. So far, it's all going like clockwork!

Weird seeing the living room floor as plywood (wet plywood) and not carpet. One bonus I guess is, the carpet was original and shot, as are a lot of the other things that will be replaced. Since the house basically needed a gut rehab, this will mean less work for the next owner and, it may be easier to find a buyer. There are a couple people interested already though so maybe, we won't have to deal with a realtor.

My old bedroom, partially torn apart at this point. Subfloor and finish floor are literally bowed up almost a foot now, DANG! A crap load of gigantic dehumidifiers and dryer fans running when i was there this morning. Cables running everywhere. It's quite the operation. Also living room as it is right now, with a bunch of furniture in it from other rooms, waiting to be taken out to the storage bin, and the main bathroom,,,,,,,,,,,where it all began. The other rooms are partially taken apart and the basement is ripped to shreds with a long way to go but it's going, and going well. The dehumidifers and fans must be working, it already smells MUCH better in the house and not over the top humid, musty and moldy anymore. When I was there Thursday it smelled awful, Friday wasn't as bad.

That floor is pretty wild. Like something from a movie where a demon is going to pop out of there.

I hope it all works out. I've dealt with the results of undetected drip leaks a few times, but never a full burst.

Rave ... Rant. I'm not even sure.

Seems I've survived another bout with the "Killer Virus". Didn't even know I had it, again... But the antibody test revealed me as being IgM positive in the absence of IgG long term antibodies. Can't even get in for blood screening for over two weeks from now due to Medical Professionals being driven from their calling in service to humanity over idiotic draconian policies. I know several people in that situation and don't find it one bit funny.

I didn't expect any IgG at my current longevity from initial contact. The B and T-cell production just do their things now in complete recognition of all the markers instead of just a vaccinated immunity for a particular strain. We all know how well that vax immunity has done us in conquering the also mutable seasonal flu so long ago... (sent with overly dramatic sarcasm tone). But I was very surprised to have a current infection.

I guess that explains why while I was recently raving about having so many of my olfactory senses of things back to normal, it's all out of whack again. Strange, since so many other long covid sufferer's have reported that contact with Delta brought them full circle and back to normal. I won't lie, I feel cheated right now to be all messed up again. At least there aren't any new repulsive smells. It's just a set back to a previous point right now. So I am making slow headway with healing it seems. Just arduously difficult to get ahead. That brings me to another point of my heart feeling overworked. Some times more than others but not good either way. But as I sit here unable to get medical attention outside of a true emergency I will admit to being a little concerned about things to the point of already modifying my diet. When it comes to hours of self concern over having had a meal, that's just not cool at all.

This morning I read that those with my condition have a seriously higher rate of heart attacks and stroke. Great comfort as I sit here knowing that all the people who truly care about humanity, over half a million of them last month and more as time passes and new employer mandates take effect, are simply no longer available to treat us. Those with a true care for our species are being purged from a system intent on their profit margins and pushing their sponsors products. I guess natural immunity for we among a minority to achieve it has it's costs. Of course it just had to be life and death. Why wouldn't it? Whatever. I'll get thru this, or you'll be reading some less long winded missives from then on. It'll be whatever it becomes.

So that all sounds like a combination of Rant and Meh... But my Rave is truly in the ability to share it without big tech's censorship today, even if I self censor the manner of conveying it.

If you GAS, here's a link to a story that came up near the top of search on my medical condition. Not the better written one I read earlier, but it will do. Rant Rave Meh Whatever... it'll be what is will be. So here ya go at long last...

I don't know anyone personally who has died from the rona. I know a guy who was literally ripped in half in a motorcycle accident who's death certificate said the cause was rona. I also used to know a guy who died in his 40s from regular flu. Not H anything N something, just regular flu. The official stats for this county show that total mortality even in our overwhelmingly retirement community is .2%. Seems like a perfect reason to implement "Carrousel" and other such wonders of "progress".

Lol! Trying to figure out how to trim about 500 words out of that last post without losing the intent. Think I got about half that. Rave?

Of course I should have been thinking more skeptically about their tying heart conditions to this now. Good point on the covid-related motorcycle accident death. I've read about covid-related gunshot deaths too. The medical establishment driving those profits up. Grabbing that free money for the bounty on every one of our heads. But without the numbers those freebies go away. So I should have been expecting them to draw some kind of correlation between this and the biggest killer year in and year out. Heart disease. They know the Vax is killing male children in the 12-18 range through myocarditis, and blood clots in girls. So the most evil answer is clearly to approve it for as young as 5 years old. I'm sorry, maybe that was supposed to read, correct answer? Each booster will increase the risk, and the risk of medical immune dependence. Great business model. And if they can get away with flipping the script on the conditions created, it's even better for the optics as those conditions become apparent to more people.

How many "covid deaths" wee really people who died WITH covid and not BECAUSE of covid? Last number I heard is the true covid caused deaths is less than hlaf what they claim. Bunch of lying, fraudulent, socialist,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'll shut up now before I go too far.

On a rave kind of thing, I went over to "the house" earlier. The ServPro contractor wanted to know if I wanted certain pieces of furniture put in the storage container or the scrap bin. Decided some, like the living room couch and chairs (for example) weren't worth saving. Imean they weren't junk but at the same time, were nothing special. Any antique stuff, save of course. When I walked in,,,,,,,,,,,holy crap! They've been busy. Talk about open concept, lol. When coming in through the back door from the garage, you can see out the windows at the other end of the house 80 feet away. Nothing but studs left. Kind of bizarre seeing the house like that. I've known it for 45 years and it's always been the same, and now I wouldn't know I was in the same house.

Pretty Cool! Might be an opportunity to make a few changes in the place that make it appear more modern!

As for the C19 thing, only 6% of all Deaths, which are within the 0.3% of total cases, are C19 alone. I don't point that out to lessen the seriousness of having a case in any way. Many suffer greatly while others don't even know they had it at all. I knew people who've died from the virus and also the vax. Also those who've suffered heart attacks and other problems from the vax but are still here. But it is highly unethical and demeaning to those who've passed to be calling deaths from old age, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, pneumonia, and other on average 2.4 Serious Medical Conditions that were the root cause of death, "co-morbidities" of this flu bug. Just because they tested positive for having it or having had it, does not mean that it caused the death of a loved one or community member. It's a disgraceful bastardization of medicine and medical advising.

Just today Bloomberg News reports on a year long UK study indicating clearly that vaccination does nothing to stop people from getting and spreading Delta. It also notes that unvaccinated persons are only 13% more likely to have a serious case.

But the part that I concentrate on is that this is a mutable virus just like the seasonal flu. Not a devastating disease like smallpox or polio. Sure we're going to see highly contagious strains and possibly some actually deadly ones now that pandora's box has been opened. But regardless of how they attempt to twist the numbers to say there are over 700K dead (USA) instead of still not quite 45,000 in a year and a half, ... it is still less than 1% of total with all those false numbers added in. This is a "Pandemic" of Weaponized Statistics for Political Gain. Nothing that should be triggering threats upon people's livelihoods in any rational thought process. Those who seek this power will never stop until we all stand together to end this by Saying NO!

But that's enough borderline Raging for one day...

How about a little RANT and RAVE instead?

It finally stopped raining here Wednesday. Still damp and nothing dried. But the wind picked up yesterday and there was even occasional sunshine. RAVE !!!
So what would I do with a suddenly Beautiful day on my hands? Take Candy Corn out for a drive and some nice early fall pix? Oh, how I wanted to load the trunk with pumpkins and go find some nice places to take pix of her surrounded by fall foliage. And Pumpkins!

Oh no.... Nothing like that. That wasn't happening even tho I did pick a couple dozen pumpkins and haul them up and wash them off. The tall lawn that hadn't been mowed in over a week and a half because it started raining just as it almost needed cut was calling louder than any opportunity for a good time. So I got to go nice and slow back and forth, and raise the deck to double cut the particularly deep spots while making stupid looking tracks in my yard for that instead of nice neat even lines. Three and a half hours to do normally 1.5 hrs worth of work. And then I realize this morning that I forgot the three swipes down and back around the dividing landscaping of the west lawn. But of course it's been raining again since last evening so that's just going to have to get longer until whenever it decides to quit again... sigh.

Oh, EDIT RAVE. Cut grass still smells weird. But it's some kind of earthy smell now! No idea what it is. Weird. But not Yuck Weird!

    FRESH RAVE ... RANT

Seems the company was abusing certain departments on the other end of the plant I've never even visited in a decade at this facility, by running them on max OT. Seemed strange at first in consideration that the rest of us have barely seen any overtime at all. But that has triggered a contractual schedule change to five day weeks instead of our 4x10. They can still run 10's and surely will, but now can't run longer than that on the 5 day arrangement. Would have been more sensible to staff the departments correctly to reduce the OT without all this, but suffering is how they always prefer things. Of course this schedule notice comes directly on the heels of same day notice that they are going to hire all temps as now full time! But then they turn right around and decide that they must not have needed the production anyhow, and have just laid us off for next week.

So next week is free time leading into last minute using my Vaca time before the 1st. It appears I'll be working a total of 5 days this November among the 22 now regularly scheduled days, plus my time off is set so weekend work isn't in the picture either. Kinda liking this idea. Now if only I could manage to get paid for this sort of schedule year round! But I think I'd have to get elected to pull that one off.
