The walmart nearest to me seems to be pretty decent. They are the cheapest for the salt for my water softener so I go there about once a month. Now I have been to others they seem a bit shaky but i just stay aware of the surroundings. No biggie..

Well I got purged from Face book under false pretense. This could be a Rant or a Rave, except for that last part. They claim there may have been a security breach and need me to identify myself through various challenges. And then they refuse to accept correct answers. Like, what's your Birthday? Gee that's a tough one. Nope. Identify 5 comments from the past 30 days. Haha, yeah I said that. Oh, that was a good one too! Yep, yep, and that's me all day. Not good enough. Identify your friends. Sure, I know all those ugly mugs. Still no deal. Try another challenge. Identify a computer or other device you've logged in from. Oh hey it looks like they know exactly where I am, except there's nowhere to click. So at that point I know they're just messing with me. Start texting some friends who report others that post similar content were also eliminated last night. It's just administrative fascism. There's no security issue. They just don't want certain voices to be heard. Guess I'll see if it's for good or just a temporary block as time goes on. Anyhow. Getting stuff done instead of wasting time just got a whole lot easier, at least for the moment.

I have (had) a pretty strong Fb presence. And it's incredibly useful to helping others with their Mopars and also selling parts. You can only do without social media if you're content to just do your own thing. But I'm certain I've been placed on an unspoken administrative ban. They refuse to accept correct answers, which convinces me there's nothing to do with the security of other than how many people see my posts which go against a pre-established political agenda. I don't bring any of that here or home. Get it out of my system there. But they've decided that since there can't be a community standards issue, or a content issue, they'll just make it up and refuse any answer other than that they rule. The last time people were so desperate to promote their agenda as being right they killed 6 Million unarmed others knowing they couldn't be as long as those others existed. I even had my 3 trusted contacts, people from around the country, provide me with security codes to regain access, which Fb refused to accept without specifying why. When they push this hard knowing they don't stand a chance in taking physical action, can you imagine if they were emboldened by an ability to rule over an unarmed populace? It's nice to have this safe haven from talking about any of those things and concentrating on our cars. But dammit it makes me angry to be discriminated against in this way. Just the same, I'm going to drop the topic until I can report finding a way to force my way back into fighting the mid 20th century F-word reborn today on that other platform.

That is one reason of many I got off FB. First, listening to that Zuckerburg moron testify in front of congress and what I was hearing come out of his socialist mouth pushed me very close to deleting my acct, then getting put in FB jail twice for "hate speech", which is apparently posting any conservative view because there was no hate about anything I posted. It was just my opinion and statements backed up by verifiable facts, vs the made up bs/fake news of a certain political party and their lame-stream media puppets. Anyways,,,,,,,,,,,,,before I go off on a tangent and get put in AAV jail (no politics please!), after the 2nd time in FB jail I said "screw this" (that's the censored version), deleted my account and never looked back.

Not really a rant or a rave, more of just an observation. Sometime's you wonder if some people are blind or what? Had a 2002 Dodge R1500 come in for an alignment because "the steering wheel is off center". OK, no big deal except from half way across the lot I could see something wasn't right. The left rear tire was at an angle and the back of the truck was sitting all kiddy-wampus. Hmmmm, those trucks don't have 4 wheel steering, lol! Walked around to the other side and the right rear tire was almost touching the fenderwell. The main leaf on that side was broke at the spring eye and the shackle was folded all the way back to the frame. So I ask again, are some people really that blind? Used spring from the salvage yard and it's all straightened out again but seriously, how could the owner not see it was broken, not to mention it dog tracked about a foot out of square??????????????????? Even if you know NOTHING about cars and trucks, you'd think he would have noticed. Sigh............................

So many people today consider their vehicles as appliances and know Zero about them. Can't even identify what's broken. Sad fact of modern living.

I'd suppose being all crazy like that had an effect on the emergency brake?

I don't treat my appliances the way some treat their vehicles.............

Had another one today where you wonder. 2004 F-150 "No brakes". It had brakes but front only with the pedal almost to the floor. First thought was rotted out brake line(s). Nope!!!!!!! (I hate making brake lines) They wore the right rear brake pads down to metal, then it ground almost the entire pad backing plate away and the rotor completely through the inner surface and 3/4 of the way through the cooling fins when............the caliper piston popped out. There HAD to be a noise that would have alerted them that something may be amiss,,,,,,,,,,,,,for at least the past 500 miles.

I don't mean any of this to sound like I'm an ass-h*** or an eye rolling judgemental douche, it's only observations and do understand my job is to fix the vehicles, regardless of how it got that way without judgement of the owner. Like I always say with some cars, "if you worked on it yourself and messed it up or ran it out of oil yesterday, TELL ME what you did. It happens and I'm not here to judge".

Believe it or not, I have seen the worn brake pad and rotor thing personally on a car I was working on (with the exception of the caliper piston coming out of the bore) and it was making NO noise.
