A "little bit" of progress being made on the Super Coupe this weekend.

Drivers rail replaced. Pass side out now and just sitting here listening to him cuss about finishing up the prep work before I replace that one too.

    Lol!

I had a 76 with crusty rails like that but the rest of the car looked like that also. Firewall was the worst. LOL

Awesome job on those rails, especially in the time given! Now if we can just convince the owner to patch the rest of the rust and repaint the whole car

He's coming along to being a real collector. Just seems determined to enjoy his youth. I appreciate his dedication to that in today's climate.

I'm sure the rest of the rust will disappear pretty quickly as soon as the garage goes up.

We'll see what else I can help him bust out for projects when I'm up there for a week prior to wedding day. He sure has blown my ambition out of the water lol! But he also gave me a big eye opener, as well as you, as to how easy and quick a rust repair can be/go if you put your mind to it. These jobs can get mentally overwhelming. Maybe one day sooner rather than later ill attack my Dodge Super coupe frame rails in the same approach. Odd enough mine needs the EXACT same repairs done right down to the pass side inner fender patch. Click image for larger version.
