    Exclamation Aspen/Volare "K" Member Replacement

I thought a while back when I was perusing the Firm Feel site that they had welded up K members for our cars. At this time they don't show anything at all like they never offered them. Am I loosing my mind or am I thinking properly? Is there any other place checking and reinforcing K members?

I remember reinforced lower control arms. That's probably because I considered them. I wouldn't have considered the K member at that time, so that could be why I don't remember it.

I also only recall the lower control arms. Although several guys have spoken about welding up their own reinforced K-members. I would like to do that but I'm afraid I'd warp it to no end and never be able to align the car afterward without having the thing mounted solidly in a jig to reinforce the upper control arm stands, like a Cop K, especially.

I have the lower control arm reinforcement plates and have purchased quite a few parts from them but it seems they used to have the reinforced k members.

That is my worries too. I may end up doing that if mine is cracked. I don't know what else it could be. The car wanders terribly even though everything is tight as a drum in the front suspension and steering and the front end has been aligned twice.

I remember someone had reinforced k members no matter who, I just can't remember who at this time for sure.

I recall somebody offering the k-frame, can't for the life of me remember who it is (or was) off hand.

Could have been Firm Feel(?) They have them for A, B. and E body (complete or a DIY kit) but not f-body, at least as far as their web site goes.

Mine wanders as well, but it's from having 8 inch wheels up front messing with the scrub radius. At least it started when I put them there while nothing else changed.

Firm Feel would weld up and reinforce YOUR k-frame and send it back to you.

Mine wanders because you can turn the steering wheel several inches before the car starts to move in the direction you want it to.

My FF steering gear fixed that kind of wander well before I started changing around tires. When I originally got my 76 there was about a half turn of the wheel in the dead spot because everything was wrong with the car at that point. Literally everything. Probably wasn't safe to drive it home.

If FF would admit to our K members and would ship a pile of steel bits, I would weld it myself. I will be that far into mine once I pull my trans for a rebuild. FF is in the PNW? Not a great location for me. Looks like not a great location for Mopars1. What would shipping look like on such an item?
