They are $99 but it appears they are offering $40 off. Is it worth the $60 or are they junk?

I wouldn't put 400 amps through 10 gauge wire which is what it looks to have in the pictures.

I think BigClive did a tear down and analysis of something like this on his youtube channel.

I'm not sure how they operate but, we have one at work (Snap-On brand) with what I think are 10 gauge leads and it'll start even a car with a DEAD dead battery. You'd think the smallish leads would just go up in smoke, but they don't.

I looked at getting one too. As I understand it, there are a finite number of times you can use them to start a vehicle. First time used you will have 100% power. Then it will only charge to (as an example) 90% capacity, then 80%, then 70%, etc...

Regardless, I like the peace of mind it offers. We are going to see battery technology take off by leaps and bounds in the coming years. Unfortunately the majority of the rare earth raw materials and components come from China.

The one we have at work is a couple years old and has started quite a few vehicles. It still shows 96% for the battery charge on the display screen if it's been plugged into the charger. Even if it just sits on the shelf unplugged, the battery shows at least 92% yet.
