    The Headers sticky Thread

Does the Doug D453 headers fit a volare/ aspen?

I was wondering if anyone has used Doug D453 headers on their F body? I already have TTI headers and they fit well but I was wondering if they would be a cheaper alternative.

I moved and renamed this so we could start a brand new headers thread where all can commit on what works for headers on a F Body.

ok great, thanks BTW, Dougs doesn`t show the header listing for a F body. I emailed them and I`ll post what they say.

TTI lists them. Here is the link.

I don`t how well the shorty headers fit on a volare.. On the full length dougs I received a answer and they said "
We have nothing for the Volare application in our brands. Good luck on the search. "

I had a cheap set of headers on the 77 for a long time. I don't remember the brand but they were probably a cheap set from Summit, 1 5/8" tubes. You had to remove the tie rod end and drag link to get the left side in or out. I now have coated TTI's with 1 7/8" tubes and they fit like a glove all above the steering linkage. I had to modify the column shift linkage for the automatic and install a small starter but that was all.
