I used to get stuck running blueprints in the day before I wasn't low man on the totem pole. I don't think I ever quit smelling it, but I was able to tolerate it at higher levels than anybody else who'd ever go in there. Did you know a single gallon of used up blueprint concentration ammonia can kill a tree of 4ft diameter? Open, turn it upside down leaned against the tree and run! Leaves turn brown in days. Then cut it down and since it sucked it up it dries faster than usual in aging your wood for winter heat the same year.

We've been through that twice in the past month. 4" in 1/2 an hour, a few days ago, another 3 or 4" over 1 1/2 days. ENOUGH! I suppose, we're ONLY 12" above average total rainfall for June thru August so what the heck, no sense in only doing it half way, lol.

Took the Dodge out yesterday since it was gorgeous early September day. There was honest to gosh ONE cloud I drove under and it soaked the car with a 15 or 20 second light rain - in full sunshine.

So it is time to detail the car again

Isn't that way it seems to go, way too often?

The few times I have been to Florida I had rain come down like that. Was really weird.

Growing up we called it “The devil is beating his wife.”

It means that it is raining within the presence of sun, or it is used to point when it’s raining outside but the sun is shining. The idiom connotes the rain and sunshine at the same time. The meaning of the idiom is an old belief that is (a sunshower is traditionally believed to be when “the devil is beating his wife”).

It's done that here a couple times that i can remember. A light rain will start falling, you look up and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,not a single cloud to be seen anywhere in the sky. Clear all the way to the horizon in every direction. How is that even possible?
