Applied the emblem today. Now I'm looking at the Kobalt emblems.... Seems to me they are screaming to be replaced with a black DODGE emblem. Any clue on anything roughly that size. Even if it is grey or plastic chrome I could always paint it black.

The white side tray should be here next week, I'll keep the stereo on it. Tomorrow I'll fish the speaker wires in the wall.

I would love to do another box painted the same midnight blue metallic the vette is with black drawers.... Hmmmm.....

I try to look at with the 5/5 perspective.

If it is worth $5 or less OR it hasn't been touched in 5 years - pitch it. Of course, it could be 5/5/5/5 with the additional 5 being spending five minutes looking at it in the trash can contemplating placing it back on the shelf for another five years

I like these. Seem to recall these are about 4" long. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Dodge-...UAAOSwwP1c02Pi

But this is more modern. And black! https://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-DODGE...torefresh=true

I've been thinking of getting a Harbor Freight 44" base cabinet. They seem pretty sturdy and I can put my 26" mid and top chests on it. They used to make a 18" drawer side cabinet that would fit perfect beside them full height, but now I see the side chests are 16". Probably do it anyhow.

After setting up the 18" drawer, I don't think I'll ever go back to 16".

I seriously looked at the HF chest. Extremely well built. Probably built side by side with a major name brand in china, just labeled differently.

Thanks - i like the second one much better, and the size looks like it will work well. I'll need to see if the kobalt emblem is just adhesive or if it has posts.

Hopefully just adhesive. But you may have to cut some white vinyl tape to fit inside a couple letters before installation then press it down to cover holes.

Tomorrow I may take a razor and see how the emblem is attached, I think the modern DODGE emblem will look killer on the chest in place of the KOBALT emblem. The chest is double walled, so it is difficult to see if there are posts behind the emblem.

Today I added a 1" diameter solid handle to the chest top. Kind of a bad ergonomic design not having a handle to begin with.

If the rain ever stops, I may get the Dodge out for a little ride next week. It has been sitting too long. After I moved the cars down to Georgia in August they've only sat in the garage.....
