Didn't hit the show Sunday - it was drizzling/misty in the morning and the roads were wet.

Even though the show was rain or shine, I didn't want to mess up all my hard work.

I don`t blame you. I was at the OC Maryland car cruise and it rained almost all week and weekend. I couldn`t believe some of the nice cars that out driving in the mess.

There are times at car shows that I have the door propped open if there is no car on the left side. This keeps people from leaning in the window, I'm always worried about a belt buckle or zipper scratch.

So I made a latching door prop rod out of 1/2" square red oak. The striker clasp was made out of a 3/4" metal conduit anchor with an aluminum swivel plate to secure it. To secure to the door I used an 1/8" steel rod that was rubberized to prevent scratching; it goes in the door vent hole about 4" at an angle.

Sorry for the crappy phone pictures.

Real nice wounded warrior show yesterday with a great turn out. I took third and was surprised at that since there were so many nice cars.

The MC for the event announced that the most asked question all day was "what kind of car is it?"

Nice! That is funny about the questions though.

Turns out modern language has "Nova" the same as "Kleenex" for "Classic Muscle Car".

There were some very cool young men who went over the car top to bottom and were totally confused when I said it is a Dodge Aspen -- they immediately started looking on their phones.

I'm going to try to make a vinyl decal that shows the address for this web site - I can then recommend the people with the most interest take a photo of it with their phone, they can then come check the A&V site out; similar to the Big3Racing decal.

Any suggestions on how to best do this?

It's a good idea, but I'm not a graphic artist. "www.aspenandvolare.com" is all I got.

Looked up Aspen on his phone and he came up with a 2009 SUV. I`m sure he was confused. LOL
