The first frost here was a while ago, like September. Forecast,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if I posted how I feel about it, using the words going through my head, I'd be banned from the site. The picture says it all.

We got hail big enough that I was worried about broken car windows this morning. Pretty weird. I didn't see any damage, though. Not to the cars. But the shingles are pretty rough.

It's sad when it's early November and we're looking forward to Saturday, when it's supposed to be upper 30's, because it's going to be "warm". Not impressed with this January weather in November. Woke up to 4 degrees this morning. F'ing brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

    Is it spring yet? lol

The snow is 90% gone today after being in the 40's yesterday. So I guess I'll just mow the lawn to chop the leaves up that are matted to it. Half of them remain on the trees yet. Some haven't even turned from green yet despite the week of very cold temps. However this plays out, I expect my lawn will be a complete mess next spring.

Cold this weekend. We should be back to our normal November weather by the end of the week.

My lawn, along with most everyone else's is a mess also. With all the rain and then really cold temps, snow, etc.....there was no chance to get after them. Some leaves haven't fallen yet either. I had my lawn semi-cleaned up using the mulching method a couple times back in early October, in between rain days, but a million leaves have fallen since with no chance of doing anything about them. I don't even want to think about what it'll look like after having a few tons of snow and ice packing it all down for 5 months. Just a few days ago the so called "high" was a sweltering 14 degrees. However,,,,,,,,,I heard on the radio some normal temps are on the way and it's going to be in the low 40's the next few days(!) Doesn't sound like much sunshine to go along with it but it's been anywhere between 0 and 25 degrees for the past 4 or 5 weeks so, we'll take what we can get.

We've got 6" (so far) of very heavy, very wet snow with another few yet to fall. Started off to work, made it about 2 blocks and said "screw this, not happening", came back home. Like trying to drive through wet concrete. We're only open this morning and would probably be out of there by 11am, and there wasn't much on the schedule anyways plus, how many of them would actually be able to make it in this crap. Not worth risking your life for. No way going the county highways would be an option this morning and traffic on the freeway is going about 25 mph past my house,,,,,,,,,,,,,maybe. One of those times when you wish the truck was 4 wheel drive.
