After the holy crap rain yesterday afternoon, which seemed like an eye wall passing over it rained so hard, nice and sunny and 74 degrees today at 9:30 am. Downside is, the humidity is 89%. Can you say muggy?

Is this the middle of July or is it a hot April? Can somebody tell me? This is getting absurd!

Was decent last week but stupid hot til we hit the road Thursday only to spend over half of a 6 hour drive in the rain. Get ahead of it for an hour to arrive, then have it catch up again in like minutes. Then it really let loose with flooding rains! Friday held off til the afternoon and then did it again. And some more that evening, still more overnight. Saturday was really decent and surprisingly not muggy. But it came back again as we drove into half our distance being more of the really serious flooding rain that was slowing us down on Sunday. Saw where a few fools hydroplaned and spun out.

Got home to dry ground and started to mow. Well of course I blew out the voltage regulator...

So Monday I drove over and got another, and what do I drive into on the way home? A whole afternoon of rain...

More of that overnight and all morning today. But the heat and wind flashed that all off pretty quick.

So I swapped in the new regator and made it maybe half an hour across the lawn when you guessed it... Rained out again!

What the Frick is this? It is July right?⁹

I have had very similar events around my area. Strange weather. Weekends have been rained out since sometime in May.

Yeah. Calling for more of the same here this weekend again. At least I was finally able to mow the whole lawn today and pulled some weeds til I was drenched in sweat and called it an afternoon for that outside stuff.

Hasn't been TOO bad around here for the most part. Of course a couple weeks ago we had a day in the 90's and the very next day,,,,,,,,,,,it barely got above 50 (WTF??????) The dry ended this afternoon with a t-storm, it's still raining and the claim is some nasty storms are headed this way in a couple hours. Only 70's (but muggy as all heck) today, rising to dry and 80 tomorrow, mid 80's weekend and then,,,,90's and humid next week BUT no rain(!) With the very hot and humid stuff coming, I am so glad I picked next week to take off from work. Feel bad for the other guys in the shop but I'm not going to let it bother me TOO much, LOL. All we have to do first is survive this evenings "festivities".

    That's the Truth here too!

Moving toward the weekend now, so of course it's been raining pretty much non-stop since 6 last night.

Well, I suppose it's good for the gardens anyhow....

Seems they lied about the nasty severe storm we were going to get a couple evenings ago. It barely even rained. Not supposed to have any rain until maybe next Friday (so they claim, lol), just hotter than the male offspring of a female dog is all. Well, it IS July after all, it's kind of expected.

    It's 2:30, 84 degrees and 86% humidity right now

We'll see if the severe storms they're predicting for this evening happen, or it ends up like last time severe storms were forecast and all it did was sprinkle a little. I'm kind of hoping the latter since there could be tornadoes, straight line 70-90 mph winds, extremely heavy rain and flash flooding, severe cloud to ground lightning, along with large hail. Please be wrong, please be wrong, please be wrong.
